Gilde Juleaquavit

Packaging
Info
When designing the yearly bottle of Gildes christmas aquavit, the task was to include something relevant from the past year. As the refugee crisis was - by far - the biggest issue of the year and sparking a lot of debate, the design aims to celebrate multi-culturalism. The traditional Aquavit drink that is seen as a arch Scandinavian product, is in fact a result of multiple cultures. The raw materials used in the drink originates from all over the world, and so does the knowledge of making and storing it.

The design is therefore a patchwork of elements from different cultures, to convey that an exchange of people, materials and cultures has a positive effect on a society.
